There are a number of ways to travel to Norway:
Travelling by Boat

You can take the ferry from Hirtshals in northern Denmark to Kristiansand.
There are two companies that operate the service:
Color Line: Colorline
Fjord Line: Fjordline
Allow for a journey time of between 2.5 and 4 hours, and please arrive an hour in advance. It’s about a 2.5-hour drive from Kristiansand to the house. A lovely drive.

Another option is to take the ferry from Hirtshals to Larvik. The journey time is roughly the same as to Kristiansand. From Larvik, it’s about a 2 hour 15 minute drive to the house. These sailings are operated by Colorline.
There are other options, but these are the most practical.
Travelling by plane
Fly to Oslo Airport Gardermoen and then it’s another 3½ to 4 hours’ drive to the house. Oslo is a beautiful city, so it’s well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Fly to Kristiansand Airport Kjevik and then it’s another 2–2½ hours’ drive to the house.
